Novex AI Copilot
The Novex AI Copilot is an assistant built directly into your workspace that helps you draft messages, summarize information, and answer questions about your own data. You choose the AI provider it uses and connect your own key, so the relationship with that provider — and the bill — is yours.
Bring your own AI provider
The Copilot does not run on a Novex-hosted model. You pick one of three providers and supply an API key for it under Settings → AI:

What that means in practice:
- Your prompts go to the provider you chose. When the Copilot answers, the prompt — and whatever workspace data that prompt includes — is sent to Anthropic, OpenAI or Google on your key. Novex does not put a model in front of it.
- You hold the commercial relationship. Usage is billed to you by that vendor, at their rates, and their terms and data-handling policy govern what happens to the prompt at their end.
- You choose, and you can change. The provider is a workspace setting, not something fixed by Novex.
If your organisation has a data-residency or vendor-approval requirement, that requirement applies to the provider you select here — assess them the way you would any other processor before enabling the Copilot. Novex not hosting the model is precisely why this decision is yours to make.
What you can do with it
- Draft and refine emails and replies.
- Summarize long records or threads into the key points.
- Ask questions about the data already in your workspace.
- Keep conversations and save useful drafts for reuse.
Getting started
The Copilot is a Spectrum-tier feature. On plans below Spectrum the AI settings screen shows an upgrade prompt rather than a smaller allowance — see Usage & limits.
On Spectrum and above, go to Settings → AI, choose your provider and paste your API key. Until a key is saved the Copilot has nothing to call.
