Post metrics
Post metrics read the numbers back from the platforms you published to, per post and totalled for the event.
Open the event → Social → Metrics.
Plan: post metrics are a Spectrum and above feature. Lower tiers see an upsell in place of the panel.
What it shows
Event totals and a per-post breakdown of three numbers:
| Metric | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Impressions | Times the post was served. |
| Engagements | Likes, comments and shares, summed into one number. |
| Clicks | Clicks through from the post. |
Each post links out to itself on the platform, and the panel shows when it last managed to read from the platforms.
🔴 A dash is not a zero
— means “not reported”. 0 means the platform reported zero. They are
different answers and the panel never collapses one into the other.
This matters because the three platforms expose genuinely different subsets:
- X reports impressions on the post itself.
- LinkedIn gives reactions and comments, but no impressions without organization analytics.
- Meta needs a separate insights call for clicks, and returns nothing at all for a post younger than its aggregation window.
So a LinkedIn-only event showing — under Impressions is working correctly —
nobody was asked, and a confident “0 impressions” there would read as a failed
post. For the same reason an event total stays — when no post in it reported
that metric, rather than summing absent values as zero.
The empty states
Three different situations, three different messages — because the fix differs:
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing has been published for this event yet | No posts have gone out | Publish one; metrics appear afterwards |
| This event has published posts, but none of the platforms are connected right now | The posts went out, but the accounts have since expired or been disconnected | Reconnect the account |
| Posts are published and the platforms are connected — the first read has not run yet | Everything is fine, the sweep just hasn’t reached it | Wait; metrics refresh hourly |
The middle one is the one that looks like a bug and isn’t: your posts are fine, but nothing can read their numbers until the account is reconnected.
Refresh
Metrics are refreshed hourly by a background sweep. The panel shows when the platforms were last read successfully, so you can tell a stale number from a missing one.
