Social Media
Social Media is its own area in Novex. It connects your LinkedIn, Meta and X accounts, writes posts for a specific event from that event’s published page, puts them in front of you for approval, and publishes the approved ones on a schedule — with a kill switch at every level.
It used to sit as a single entry under Outreach. It now has its own section in the left-hand nav, because “outreach” means outbound email and half of this is not outbound at all — there is a publishing calendar, an autopilot, and a connected-accounts screen behind it.
The four screens
| Screen | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Overview | Posts at a glance — drafts, scheduled, published — plus your connected accounts. |
| Autopilot | Per-event switches: which platforms, how often, quiet hours, and the kill switches. |
| Campaign calendar | A month view of everything queued. Edit copy, move a post, pause one. |
| Connected accounts | The account pool for the whole workspace, and which is default per platform. |
The per-event surfaces
Some of the work happens on the event itself rather than in this section. Open an event and go to its Social tab:
- Compose — generate and approve posts for that event.
- Queue — everything scheduled for that event, composed or autopilot-planned.
- Settings — that event’s autopilot switches, including which accounts it posts from.
- Metrics — impressions, engagements and clicks read back from the platforms.
How a post actually gets out
- Connect an account and mark a default per platform.
- Turn autopilot on for the event and pick its platforms.
- Generate posts in the composer from the event’s published website.
- Approve the ones you want. Approving puts a post in the queue at a specific time.
- The queued post sends at that time, provided every switch still allows it.
Nothing sends because it was written. A post sends because it was approved and every gate above it is still open — see the approval gate.
What you need
- Connected accounts — at least one, via the BYO-OAuth wizard in Settings → Connectors.
- A published website for the event. The composer writes from your published content and invents nothing, so an event with no public page has nothing to write from.
- An AI key for generation — bring-your-own, on Spectrum and above.
- Spectrum or above for post metrics.
