WhatsApp drip automation
WhatsApp drip automation is designed to deliver trigger-based WhatsApp message journeys that reach each attendee automatically at the right moment — on registration, before the event, after check-in, and post-event.
Status — Planned (Phase 5). This page describes the intended capability of this module on our roadmap. It is not yet available in your workspace, and details may change before release.
Drip automation builds on the existing WhatsApp integration and one-shot WhatsApp campaigns. Where a campaign is a single broadcast, a drip journey adds automatic, timed sequencing so each attendee moves through the steps on their own schedule.
Designed capability
Triggers
A journey will start from a single trigger:
- Registered — fires when an attendee registers.
- Checked-in — fires when an attendee checks in on-site.
- No-show — fires for attendees who did not check in.
- Post-event — fires after the event ends.
- N-days-before-event — fires a set number of days ahead of the event.
Ordered steps
A journey will run ordered steps, each made up of:
- An approved WhatsApp template.
- A delay before sending (for example, send template A immediately, then template B 24 hours later).
- Variable mapping — attendee name, event, and other fields are mapped into the template placeholders.
Controls and stats
Organizers will be able to Activate or Pause a journey and see per-journey stats: enrolled, sent, delivered, read, and opted-out.

Compliance (designed)
- Journeys will only send to attendees who have opted in.
- An inbound STOP automatically stops that attendee’s journey.
- Each step’s template must be Meta-approved.
- Sending will respect WhatsApp throughput limits and quiet hours.
